Beginner Rides 4-6

Following last week’s Ride 4, a total of 13 different riders have now attended and the group cycled towards the Horse & Jockey and on to Sentry Cross. Split into two different ability groups covering different mileage, a pleasant ride seemed to be enjoyed by all.

With only two weeks left (Rides 5 and 6) of the current programme its not too late to join in. It has been suggested that when the current rides end that a “social group” could be set up and communicated via the website forum or Facebook Group so that riders who may not yet be at a standard they feel they need to be to make the step up to club rides, can continue to ride together to increase their fitness and mileage before doing so.

As discussed the club is planning to offer cycle coaching to all members and more news will be available on that next week. For those new or returning to cycling or those with new bikes with different gear set up etc this would prove very worthwhile.

So if you or someone you know would like to come along but feel you have missed the first few weeks and cannot join in now please come along. While the programme is running we are happy to accommodate riders of all abilities to encourage them to ride in a group. Everyone so far seems to have enjoyed the rides and the friendly no pressure way which we have conducted the rides. We hope that they will be encouraged to continue riding whether with our club or not.
